I can highly recommend the rental service provided by Charlotte and Claire at Belvoir York. Their service is friendly, professional and very effective.
Awful and traumatic experience.
Awful and traumatic experience. Cancelled the tenancy agreement on the day I was supposed to pick up the keys, leaving me with no where to live and a pre-paid removals van now useless.
After politely asking for clarification on building work and scaffolding outside the property the landlord decided not to continue with the tenancy which suggests to me that he was hiding something. I had previously asked for information on this which was ignored or not fully explained. I was refunded the holding deposit, and majority of the deposit and first month’s rent and received no apology.
I dealt with Charlotte mostly but also spoke to Claire on the phone who was a little abrupt, as per other reviews. It was Belvoir York with whom I dealt with and the property was close to The Grand hotel. I was property searching between September – October 2020.
I would be incredibly careful before entering into an agreement with this agency, as despite being ‘family owned’ which did appeal to me in the first instance, the way I was treated was more akin to a company that places profit over people.
This is the first bad review I have ever left for a company ever, but because my experience was so awful I felt the need to inform other potential customers.
We were recommended to Belvoir from another landlord and we have been so pleased with the service that we have received from start to finish. Claire and Charlotte are a great team, proactive, polite and always keeping us informed of the whats happening, particularly in the last few uncertain months. 5 stars.
Amazing service, I dealt mostly with Charlotte. Really friendly and helpful throughout the whole process, even after my move in date. More than happy to help with any questions/queries.
